Demascus steel has been used to make knives and swords for over 2000 years. It combines steel with different properties to produce blades of extraordinary toughness and edge holding ability. When ground on an angle, each piece has its own unique look. Bear Damascus has 416 layers and is comprised of two different carbon steels and a nickle silver layer. Damascus steel requires a light coat of oil to prevent rusting.
